Ted P. Butler, Managing Director - Biography
Mr. Butler has broad experience in the fields of financial and credit management, bank loan administration, financial modeling and statement analysis, corporate calling experience, commercial law, documentation, and federal regulatory examination. Mr. Butler had established a private consulting business for corporations and individuals with existing or start-up businesses seeking debt or equity funding. Mr. Butler previously created a Business Loan Fund in 1999, a successful $3,000,000 Community Development Financial Institution, and worked for non-profit organizations in western Pennsylvania.
Mr. Butler was an officer of Bank of the West in California and other financial institutions. His experience centered in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1970s and through the 1980s. His bank was an early stage debt investor in the high tech industry and worked with venture capitalists in formulating deals.
Prior to entering commercial banking, Mr. Butler was a National Bank Examiner with the Comptroller of the Currency, U.S. Treasury Department. He directed commercial and consumer compliance examinations in the Fourth National Bank District (Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky).
Following his graduation from Sharpsville Area High School, Mr. Butler earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo, New York, and completed two years of a three-year degree program at the Graduate School of Credit and Financial Management, Stanford University, Palo Alto, California. Mr. Butler is formerly a Director with Habitat for Humanity (Executive Committee/Church Relations Chair) in Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
